ABOUT KAITLIN
I’ve sat on both sides of that table.
For over 15 years, I worked as a licensed school psychologist and dean of students in elementary schools — writing IEPs, running evaluations, and leading the meetings that can feel overwhelming from the parent’s side.
I trained at the St. Croix River Education District (SCRED), developing a deep understanding of the full continuum of how schools support children: from early intervention and MTSS through special education eligibility, IEPs, and placement.
I saw too many families leave meetings confused, underserved, or unaware of the questions they could ask. That’s why I started this practice. I genuinely love this work — and I bring everything I have to every family I support.
I live in Costa Rica with my family and work with families across the U.S. virtually.

What does an IEP consultant do?
An IEP consultant reviews school records, explains the process and your options, helps you prepare for meetings, and can attend meetings alongside you.
Do you work with families outside Costa Rica?
Yes. I work virtually with families across the U.S. In-person consulting is available in Costa Rica. State procedures vary, so every engagement begins with your child’s specific circumstances and location.
Can you attend meetings virtually?
Yes. Virtual preparation and meeting attendance are available, depending on your needs and the school’s meeting format.
